Mathews County Visitor & Information Center

The Mathews County Visitor & Information Center (MCVIC) is located in the historic district of Mathews, Virginia. In addition to providing assistance to visitors, MCVIC encourages Bay stewardship at the grassroots level. The Center provides for people to experience Bay conservation and restoration first-hand, the Middle Peninsula’s vast Bay habitats, preserves, water trails, public and scenic access points, and ecotourism opportunities. One centerpiece of the Mathews effort is Mathews Blueways, a system of more than 90 miles of water trails in the area.

Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 10-4 year-round.

Fees: None
